Open house will show off new facilities at WMFC

The renovation will allow the center to expand its mission of education, recreation, and social services to the 7,000 individuals that use the facility on a yearly basis.

The $3.5 million project was funded by The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation, The Charles J. Strosacker, and The Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation, the WMFC received help from many other organizations and volunteers.

Strosacker Foundation donates $50,000 to Creative 360

Midland Soccer Club, a 501 (c) 3 formed in 1977, serves nearly 4,000 players annually from 25 counties. With over 104,000 visitors and players annually, the club brings over $3 million to the region in sports tourism. Given the growing ranks of area athletes and youth recreational programs, the MSC recognizes that the region desperately needs additional indoor athletic facilities and has launched a capital campaign to construct a 150,000-square-foot indoor athletic facility on its campus. Construction is slated for fall of 2025 and opening in the 2026 soccer season.
