The Charles J. Strosacker Foundation, granted $300,000 to Ten16 Recovery Network, who has received grants of $900,000 from several local foundations over the past three months to support the construction of its new Midland facility.
A $20,000 grant was awarded to 211 Northeast Michigan to support expanded outreach and marketing efforts across its service area.
Midland Soccer Club, a 501 (c) 3 formed in 1977, serves nearly 4,000 players annually from 25 counties. With over 104,000 visitors and players annually, the club brings over $3 million to the region in sports tourism. Given the growing ranks of area athletes and youth recreational programs, the MSC recognizes that the region desperately needs additional indoor athletic facilities and has launched a capital campaign to construct a 150,000-square-foot indoor athletic facility on its campus. Construction is slated for fall of 2025 and opening in the 2026 soccer season.
